Cabinet: The beginning and the end of things / A visual archive

Is a project that aimes to create a photographic archive that seeks,
through the collection and observation of discarded objects, to discover new forms of beauty and meaning in what is generally considered discard.

The images that make up the archive were taken in the
city of Paris from July to September 2023.

Getting to know the city through long wanderings, finding an object, a trace, something that passed by and left its mark on each of these journeys, retrieving it, bringing it to the studio, and looking at it again to photograph it.

During these explorations of the city,
I also collected new words, anecdotes, memories, and emotions that are part of the archive through captions that accompany the images.

It is a poetic archive and, to some extent, whimsical, but also a social tool for exploring life and getting to know a territory in a different way.

Through this approach, I want to create a portrait of this time, using remnants as clues in a detective game that invites us to decipher the traces we leave in our wake.
